My body isn’t used to this much alcohol. The few glasses of wine I normally drink don’t have me in the middle of a dance “orgy” without remembering how I got there. Sweat is dripping down my neck and tickling the space between my breasts. After the third round of drinks, bought by three different men just wanting to get in my pants, I feel relaxed yet out of control. Noelle is nowhere to be found and in my drunken state I’m not even the least bit concerned about it. The music has taken over my body and I can feel myself letting go of all the stress and anxiety that Robert has caused me. I don’t care who is watching because at this moment I feel like the sexiest person in here.

With my eyes closed I rub my hands along my hips all the way to my hair, pulling it off my neck into a makeshift ponytail. The beat of the music moves through me like an electric wave. When a cool puff of air passes over the back of my neck it feels like water in the Sahara. Larger hands than I’ve ever felt before unexpectedly come around my waist and pull me back into a rock hard chest. My breathing becomes more ragged as the mystery man whispers in my ear.

“Are you hot, baby?” He asks, his hot breath sending shivers down my spine.

My senses are on high alert and despite the fact that I haven’t a clue what he looks like, those four words turn me on instantly. If his voice can do that to me I’d love to see what his enormous hands are capable of. Our bodies connect and sway to the music as his mouth continues to hover just above my shoulder causing tingles to radiate through my body. I can feel his lips grazing the crease of my neck and when he nips my skin my knees go weak. My head falls back involuntarily giving him more access to continue his sensual assault. He smells delicious, and the soft suctioning kisses he places up my neck cause me to moan in anticipation. I have to see the man who is releasing all my inhibitions.

Reluctantly I turn my heated body around feeling the loss of his soft lips, but what I’m rewarded with is a vision of godliness. Standing at what appears to be well over six feet tall is the most panty-dropping specimen that I have ever laid my eyes upon. I should have turned around sooner! His plain black t-shirt hugs every single slender muscle in his sexy ass arms. The faded blue jeans he wears are snug, even more so where his zipper lies, showing me how much he is turned on. His dark brown hair is a styled mess; short on the sides but longer up top. I can’t help but wonder what it would feel like to grab hold of it and tug. Hard. A grin flashes across his face, as if he’s read my mind, and I see a hint of just one dimple on the right side of his mouth. His green eyes appear hungry as they shamelessly take me in from my toes to my own starving eyes. I swallow hard and try to catch my breath.

“I thought you looked good from behind but damn if you don’t look heavenly from this angle,” he says loudly, over the music.

He grabs both of my hands, circling them around his neck. With our height difference my forehead falls into his chest perfectly, as if we are two pieces of a puzzle. I try to control my breathing; the alcohol is coursing through my veins now. Freeing my hands from their hold, they find their way down and softly graze over his pecs and then the ripple of his abs. They falter as they come in contact with not a six pack but, a …1,2,3,… eight pack! I see his chest rising and falling rapidly. I think he must be as turned on by me as I am by him. Impossible.

Through the haze of sleep, I felt hands on me. Cold and rough. I thought for a fleeting moment that it might have been Kyle. Then, I remembered our break up. It had happened weeks ago, but maybe that part was the dream. My memory was fucked and I couldn’t latch onto a thought long enough to ride it out of the fog. Too many hands. They groped and pulled—rough against my skin and digging into muscle and bone. I tried to retreat, my back pressed into a hard surface beneath me, and my nostrils filled with the smell of musk and damp stale air. I had no idea where I was, or how I’d gotten there. I kicked and gasped, trying to get back to the surface where reality lurked, shimmering in the distance, but just out of reach, like the sun on the surface of the water during a dive. A hand latched onto my hair and held my head back. My eyelids were finally freed from the sticky muck that held me in semi-consciousness, and I opened them to find myself staring up into unfamiliar green eyes. I only held his gaze for a few seconds—if that—but it seemed like it lasted for hours as my brain fought to categorize the details. Its useless attempt to understand what was going on. The man clutching my hair had vivid green eyes, but they may as well have been black given the emotionless void they displayed. His hair was shaggy, brown with a mix of grey, the same colors that stood out in his unkempt stubble. As if he needed any help looking rough. He exhaled and his breath settled over my face, reeking of booze and cigarettes. The smell made me queasy, but I didn’t have time to dwell on that, as another set of hands tugged at my jeans. My gaze traveled around the room, taking in the small crowd. At least half a dozen men surrounded the table where they had me spread out like a holiday feast. All dressed differently, from ragged tank tops to well-fitting dark button-down shirts, but they all projected an air of unchecked danger. Necks marked with tattoos, hands covered in callouses and scars. Scruffy faces accented their sneers and smirks, as they stood above me staring down with eyes starved of humanity and full of lust. Apparently, they didn’t expect me to put up a fight, because aside from the hand tangled in my hair, no one seemed concerned with keeping a tight grip on me. Probably because they outnumbered me, and I assumed they would have no problem beating the crap out of me as I struggled. They’d downright enjoy it. Unfortunately, I didn’t fully consider how that scenario would play out. I bucked and managed to knee the one pulling on my waistband in the face. He grunted, but I can’t imagine I inflicted as much pain as his retaliatory blow to my ribs. I sucked in air and rolled, curling around the injury and gasping for each painful breath as the sickening throb exacerbated my confusion.

I’ve been coming up with stories for as long as I can remember, and in elementary school I began writing them all down. Ghosts and vampires, have always been my favorite beings to write about. Maybe it was growing up with a grandma who always told me about how she’d always rush home to watch Dark Shadows, and growing up reading and watching anything paranormal that I could find.

My debut, Fractured Legacy (Paranormal Urban Fantasy novella), was released on October 22, 2013, and the sequel Beyond the Divide is currently in progress and expected to release in early 2014.

I am also taking a departure from the paranormal world with a BDSM Romance, Bound and Unbroken, which will also be released in early 2014. I go where my characters lead me, and Eric and Lena decided that I needed a definite break from the paranormal.

That First Kiss by J.C. Valentine

His finger stroked the inside of her thigh, seeking higher ground as his thoughts rolled forward. Piper’s eyes trained on his face, hanging on his every word. “I didn’t intend for things to get as heated as they did, but as soon as I touched you, I needed more. I couldn’t help myself. You possessed me.”
The glazed look in her eye told him that she was remembering that night as vividly as he was. Placing both hands on the cushions on either side of her body, he hemmed her in, bringing their faces so close that when he spoke, his lips grazed hers. “The way you danced that night, pushing that sweet little ass of yours against me. It’s haunted me, Piper,” he whispered.  “You need to understand, I tried to resist you, just like I have been trying to resist you, but you drive me crazy. When I’m with you, it takes everything in me to stay away. All I think about, all I dream about is burying myself inside you.”
Piper licked her lips and Tate zeroed in on the tiny movement. “I want to suck those plump lips into my mouth,” he murmured. Shifting, he brought his knee up so it rested on the couch alongside hers and hovered over her. Her face was flushed and her chest rose and fell heavily. She wasn’t unaffected.
“You need to leave,” she said weakly.
Tate chose that moment to drop his head into the crook of her neck, nuzzling her. She smelled faintly of roses, and his cock jumped at her soft, feminine scent. “Do you want me to leave?” he asked softly.
He could feel her softening beneath him, her breath coming out in shudders as he skimmed his lips lightly up her neck to her ear, where he licked the pulse beating rapidly beneath her sensitive skin. “Yes.”
The single word left her on a stilted breath, only solidifying his need to get inside her. “I don’t think you do,” he murmured. With sure hands, Tate grabbed the backs of her thighs and yanked her toward him, seating her firmly beneath him on her back with her legs spread wide.

I would never get time to read all the books in this series in one marathon but the ones I did read I loved sexy and romantic and I loved reading them I plan to go back with every window I get and read another book from this great list of authors 4 stars for now from what I have read I loved it well done !

  1. Olivia Rigal sings every Wednesday night in the karaoke club
  2. Olivia Rigal went to dog grooming school
  3. Lacey Silks had a passion for acting when she was a teen. As an extra she met Marlon Brando, Matthew Broderick, Ricky Lake, Brendan Fraser, Jerry O’Connell and Shirly MacLain
  4. Lacey Silks is afraid of flying. If you ever sit beside her on a plane, don’t mind the Hail Mary’s. And good luck getting to the bathroom. She will not unbuckle her seat belt through the entire flight
  5. Before she was an author, Ember casey worked as a pastry chef. She's never met a cake (or puff pastry, or tart, or chocolate truffle) she didn't love
  6. Ember Casey started writing Romance because her critique group kept telling her that her attempts at Young Adult were too, uh, "adult"
  7. J.C. Valentine is a reality TV junkie. The Kardashians hold her prisoner often and without mercy
  8. J.C. Valentine loves thunderstorms. They’re perfect for writing
  9. Clarissa Wild always drinks tea when writing, and she needs at least 2 cups of earl grey tea a day
  10. Like the main character in her book Fierce, Clarissa Wild is actually quite a book-nerd, and not just that … she loves playing videogames as well
  11. Sky Corgan actually participates in the BDSM lifestyle as a dominant
  12. Sky Corgan has to have complete silence while writing, so no coffee shop writing
  13. V.J. Chambers still watches The Vampire Diaries, and she’s still on Team Damon
  14. V.J. Chambers has a cat called Isis, and she does not like to relinquish the keyboard for her to actually write. She would rather lie on it
  15. Blair Babylon has lived in 5 US states: Arizona, Connecticut, Iowa, New Jersey and New York
  16. Blair Babylon was a child actor and model who did over 30 TV commercials and a short-lived PBS series
  17. During her tween years, Molly McLain began writing while listening to Wednesday night dedications and requests on radio. Since no one ever dedicated a romantic song to her, she made up her own love stories instead. To this day, all it takes to get the creative juices flowing is a little REO Speedwagon
  18. Molly McLain is a closet WWE fan. She may or may not fangirl over Randy Orton to the point her children refer to him as her boyfriend. They’re also kind enough to pause the TV when he’s on so she can drool
  19. Although Daizie Draper’s pretty kinky, she’s more of a switch than a straight-up sub. The BDSM in Sorority Pledge veers into many untested areas for her because Addison, the sub in the story, learns she's masochistic, which I Daizie is not
  20. One of Daizie’s quirky things is that she hates crumbs, like stepping on them with her bare feet. It just irks her like nothing else

A Kindle is up for grabs!!

He grabs me and leads me on stage. We pass a few people, but nobody stops us. He must be using his magic to keep us hidden. He takes me center stage and turns me to face the crowd. He pulls me up against his chest. “Let’s put on a show for them.”

“Oh, I like where this is going. Nobody will see us, right?”

“Not unless you want them to.” He slips his hand down the front of my pants and brushes my sensitive parts. I moan. “Shh, baby. My magic only keeps us unseen, not unheard.”

He pulls his hand out and I hear him suck his finger. Great. How am I supposed to keep quiet? Well, two can play this game. I turn and drop to my knees, quickly unbuttoning his jeans. I pull them down to his ankles. Commando seems to be the way he goes. I grab his stiff length in my hand and bring it to my mouth. I lick the head and he gasps. Now who has to keep quiet? I slowly take him as far as I can. He is so big that I can’t take all of him so I place my hand around the part of his shaft where my mouth can’t reach. I begin to suck and pump with my hand at the same time, twirling my tongue around as I go up and down. He twists his hand in my hair and sets the pace. I use my other hand to play with his balls. It doesn’t take long for his muscles to tighten. His hand twists tighter in my hair so I speed up, knowing it won’t be long. He explodes in my mouth and I swallow all he has to give. I grin up at him and see that he has a smirk on his face and his eyes are twinkling.

He pushes me toward one of the speaker boxes at the front of the stage and tells me to place my hands on it. I do as I’m told. He slips my pants off and bends down, licking and nibbling on my nub. I have to bite down on my lip so I don’t scream out. He vigorously sucks and licks until I can’t take it anymore. I orgasm and almost collapse. He

stands up and holds me around the waist from behind. Then he places his hands on my hips and rams into me. Still sensitive from the orgasm, I moan. The crew working on cleaning up looks around, but they can’t see us. Shit… I have got to be quiet. He fucks me hard and fast. It only takes a few minutes for us both to climax.

Darkness Deserved

Friday night at the bar was busy. Every table was full all night and the bar was packed as well. I couldn’t have been happier. It was ten o’clock as I was making my rounds through the crowd checking tables and helping Emma, Beth and Mya, my waitresses, out.

I had just finished setting down a round of shots at a table full of sorority girls and turned around to go back to the bar, when I felt a tingle start at the top of my head and move toward my groin. When it settled and my clit began to throb I just knew. I knew it was my Adonis.

Here at last.

Dammit.

I was hoping I could just go through life without this temptation. It’s okay Harper. You wore your big girl panties tonight so quit being such a fucktwat and grow a pair. I make my way to the bar as if I notice nothing and set the tray down for Mark and Rory, my bartenders tonight.

I head towards the end of the bar to take care of some orders I need to make, when I feel his presence beating against me from behind. It’s like he already owns my body. My skin begins to tingle, my heartbeat speeds up, and my breathing becomes shallow as I try to control it. I can feel the vein in my neck throbbing relentlessly. On the outside I know I appear composed and nonchalant, but inside- inside- I feel ready to burst.

I just want Adonis to grab me, throw me on the bar and fill me as I know only he can at this moment. He brings both arms around me so that his hands are resting on the bar and he has me trapped between it and himself. He leans in and I can feel his breath wash over my exposed neck. I inhale his scent: soap, Armani and Adonis. God, I want him to bend me over. A million different scenarios run through my mind of how to close down the bar so I can please this man.

And that’s when I stop and ice runs through my veins. I spent four years pleasing men. I was not going down that path again.

Ascending Darkness
Prologue
It’s been years since I lived and breathed this way. Years since I had to wonder what would happen next. I’ve been lucky; living the good life and having whatever I wanted. I suppose I couldn’t really have it all; too greedy. It was never about money, though….

It was about being out of this life, having something more.

Living.

I don’t know if Nikko and Breccan know yet what has happened, or if they can even do anything about it. I imagine they will try and I hope they succeed, but how in the hell are they even going to find me? I don’t even know where I am or how I got here. How can two people that weren’t there do anything about it?

I look around the mostly dark room. The walls are a grayish color which looks to be from stains to the once white walls. The carpet is dark, almost a greenish color. There is a small bed in the corner with a table and a lamp that hardly sheds any light in this room. It smells musty in here, like a cemented basement.

Maybe it is a basement.

I was unconscious when they took me and woke up in this room.

I sigh and sit up on the bed so that I am facing the door. My hands are still tied with nylon rope and my wrists are raw, so it hurts to move them too much.

The door starts to open and I watch.

He walks in with the same grimy smile he always had.

I hate you!

He walks closer to the bed, looks down at me and says, “Hey, babe. You’ve been busy. Looks like it’s time to pay your dues. Pants off. Now.”

Single mother Tracey Hiatt prides herself on having a close relationship with her daughter- the kind of relationship she’s always wanted, but never had, with her own mother.
When her mother suffers a debilitating illness and faces a lengthy recovery, family takes on a whole new meaning for Tracey as she finds herself pulled back to her ex, Steve Eldridge. There’s only one problem: he’s involved with someone else.
Steve is drawn back into Tracey’s family drama and after her mother awakens from a coma believing he and Tracey are married, the two are forced to confront some fundamental questions about their relationship.
Can they put past hurts behind them and take a leap of faith into a new future together?

The steady beep of the heart monitor filled the room, along with the whooshing sound of the ventilator. Out in the hallway, Tracey Hiatt could hear the occasional chime of the elevator and muffled voices sounding over the hospital intercom, but she paid no attention to them, her focus remaining on the still form in the bed. Pamela Hiatt had long cut an imposing figure, at least where her middle child was concerned, but now she lay completely motionless, a machine in charge of her breathing. ‘Comatose and unresponsive,’ the doctors termed her condition, while at the same time insisting Pamela was aware of what happened around her and could hear what people said.

“Talk to her,” Tracey’s brother had urged when she arrived at the hospital, before leaving her alone in their mother’s room. “It’ll mean a lot to her that you’re here.”

Yeah, right. Brian meant well. Tracey didn’t doubt that. He’d always tried to be the peacemaker and stick up for his little sister in the face of Pamela’s constant disapproval, and Tracey appreciated that. It was because of Brian, for Brian, that she’d rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital upon learning her estranged mother had suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and lay in a coma.

Talk to her. Fine. What was she supposed to say? Tracey sucked in a breath as she fought back tears. She’d long thought that Pamela lived to torment her, and she wasn’t quite prepared to see her mother like this, barely clinging to life.

“Hello, Mother,” she finally said. “It’s me, Tracey. Bet you didn’t expect to see me here, huh? It’s been a while.” How long, exactly, she didn’t remember. Over the years, Tracey had extended a few olive branches, hoping to repair the relationship with her mother for the sake of her own daughter. Occasionally Pamela reciprocated and they forged a somewhat tentative truce for a short period. Other times, Tracey’s efforts were met with a frosty response and she stopped trying.

“Anyway, I’m doing well,” she said. “I’ve got a new class assignment this fall. I’m teaching Tort Law. Isn’t that exciting?” Tracey still recalled Pamela’s look of disapproval when she accepted a position teaching Legal Writing at Northern Illinois University’s law school. The job wasn’t prestigious enough for Pamela’s lofty standards. Maybe not, but Tracey enjoyed teaching it and was good at it. Still, with the retirement of one of the senior members of the faculty, she’d been presented with the opportunity to take over a Torts class and she jumped at it. She’d been contemplating calling her mother, extending another olive branch, when Brian called to inform her of Pamela’s stroke. Life was cruel sometimes.

Pamela didn’t stir, but Tracey continued on. “I’m really looking forward to the new challenge. Classes start next week.” She paused, again studying her mother’s form. No change. Nothing. “Lindsay’s starting sixth grade next week, too. I’m still trying to wrap my head around that. You wouldn’t believe how big she’s gotten.” Of course, maybe you would if you saw her on a regular basis.

Tracey took a deep breath and tried to get a handle on her emotions. Now, with her mother fighting to survive, was not the time to dwell on past slights and years of hurt. Once Pamela recovered, they’d have the opportunity to talk about everything, and maybe, hopefully, repair their relationship. Tracey wanted it to happen, but she wasn’t quite ready to make a bargain with God. Instead of bargaining, she settled for the simple truth.

“You drive me crazy, Mother,” she said. “And you make me angry. Always comparing everything I do to Brian or Kim, never just letting me be me and loving me for it. Maybe I should have given up on you years ago. I’ve wanted to plenty of times, but there’s something I want more. I want a relationship with my mother.” Tears ran down her cheeks, and Tracey wiped at them with the back of her hand. “Isn’t that just the kicker? After everything you’ve done to push me away, I’m still not ready to give up and say goodbye. So you better not be, either, okay? We both have some work to do.”

With the issuance of a challenge, Tracey half expected Pamela to open her eyes and object, but she never stirred. For another twenty minutes, Tracey followed the advice of the doctors and talked to her mother. She talked about her plans for the new school year—for herself and Lindsay—and the prospects of the Bears or the Cubs ever winning another championship. When finally she ran out of things to say and couldn’t listen to the sounds of the heart monitor and ventilator any longer, she got up to leave. “It’s been nice talking to you, Mother.” The longest conversation they’d had in years, and Pamela never said a word.

Tracey jabbed at the elevator button, anxious to leave. The doors opened and she rushed forward, colliding with a person stepping off the elevator. “Excuse me. I’m sorry,” she stammered.

“No worries,” Steve Eldridge said as he out a hand to her. The elevator doors closed again, leaving them in the hallway. “You okay, Tracey?”

She wanted to say yes, tell him she was fine and to leave her alone, but it would be a lie, and Steve would see through it right away. Instead, she shook her head as she looked up into his green eyes. Eyes their daughter had inherited. “It’s been kind of a rough day,” Tracey said, opting for understatement rather than dishonesty. “How’d you know I was here?”

“I have a case with Brian. He asked to reschedule a hearing for personal reasons,” Steve explained. “Obviously I was concerned. He gave me the whole scoop. I’m really sorry, Trace.” There was no questioning the sincerity of his words. “Don’t you think this is something you should have told me yourself, though?”

“We’re not married,” Tracey reminded him needlessly. They never had been, but still Steve shared a close enough relationship with her brother to freely chat about family news, a fact Tracey didn’t always like. How was she supposed to get over Steve if her own brother basically considered him part of the family?

“Your choice, not mine.” Steve shoved his hands in the pockets of his khakis. “It doesn’t mean I don’t care about you.”

Care about her, yes. Tracey didn’t doubt that. Love was another matter, and one she didn’t care to get into with him at the moment, if ever. Her primary concern was where their daughter was, since it was Steve's visitation week and he was now at the hospital. “Where’s Lindsay?” she asked, changing the subject.

“Meredith took her for pizza and ice cream.”

“Are you sure that was a good idea?” Tracey couldn’t keep her displeasure from her voice.

“Yes, I thought it was a fine idea,” Steve said. “Why do you have to say things like that? You make it sound like you don’t trust Meredith around our daughter.” He raked a hand through his dark hair, mussing it in front. “She passed a background check to be admitted to the state bar, so it’s not like she’s a hardened criminal, and besides, Lindsay’s known her for a year and a half and enjoys spending time with her. You know that.”

Tracey swallowed hard. Yes, Lindsay did seem to enjoy spending time with Daddy’s girlfriend Meredith, and yes, Tracey still had a bit of a problem with it. It was her problem, though, and she’d have to work through it. It didn’t give her the right to be a total bitch. “You’re right,” Tracey said, softening her tone. “I’m sure they’ll have fun together. I’m sorry I snapped at you. Like I said, it’s been a bad day.”

Steve nodded. “Understandable. Want to go downstairs and get some coffee and talk about it?”

“Actually, I really just want to get the hell out of here.”

“That works, too.” Steve placed one hand on her shoulder and with the other pressed the elevator button. “I’ll drive.”

***

Tracey didn’t say where she wanted to go, and Steve didn’t ask, instead driving in silence through downtown Chicago before ending up at a familiar sports bar. Steve had no idea why he chose it, other than maybe because it was so familiar. After all, it was the site of one of best moments of Steve’s life, and also one of the worst. That he counted them as one and the same no longer seemed strange.

“Why here?” Tracey asked as he held the door open for her and led her inside.

“Why not? It’s close to the hospital, and we like the food.”

“True,” Tracey said, settling into a booth. “Thanks for getting me out of there. I don’t think I could have stood it much longer.”

“I figured.” It was why he’d left for the hospital as soon as he’d learned of Pamela’s condition. Thankfully, Meredith seemed to understand why he needed to go and offered to entertain Lindsay. At least he hoped she understood. Steve knew it wasn’t always easy for her, but Mer knew from the beginning he had a daughter. That linked him, forever, with his daughter’s mother, and she had to accept that. “You holding up okay now?”

“Trying to.” Tracey picked up the menu, then set it down without opening it. “It’s ridiculous to be this emotional. I don’t even like the woman.”

“No, but she’s still your mother and you love her, even if you don’t always like her.” Steve long ago realized there was a difference, especially when it came to the dysfunctional relationship between Tracey and Pamela. “She’s a strong, stubborn woman, Trace,” he said. “She’s going to get through this just fine.”

“Of course she will, if only to torture me further,” Tracey said, but Steve could tell from the look in her brown eyes that she wasn’t confident in her words.

“How hungry are you?” he asked, changing the subject. “Want to split the taco pizza?”

“Sure, that sounds fine.”

“How about a beer?”

Tracey shook her head. “No. Just a Coke for me. I still have to drive back to DeKalb tonight, and I’d rather not fall asleep at the wheel.”

“I’d rather you didn’t, too,” Steve said, and flagged a waitress down to place their order.

For the next forty-five minutes, while they polished off a taco pizza, Steve tried his best to keep the conversation light. They talked about the Cubs’ losing streak, the Bears’ prospects, the annual mid-August heat wave, Steve’s recently completed trial and their daughter’s upcoming school year. Sixth grade. He could hardly believe it. In some ways, it seemed like only yesterday that he’d met Tracey at this restaurant after work and she’d announced she was pregnant. The news shocked him, and he’d proceeded to make a complete ass of himself, a scene Steve regretted more than once. Since he couldn’t undo it, he simply hoped he’d done right by both of them in the decade since.

“Don’t forget her reading list,” Tracey said, interrupting his thoughts. “She should be reading half an hour every day.”

Steve nodded. “Yeah, we got it. We’ve been working with her.”

“Good. She likes to read, so it probably doesn’t take much to get her to do it.”

“No,” Steve agreed. “Are you going to be okay tonight, Trace? Because if you want to take Lindsay back with you...” He didn’t want to make the offer. He valued his time with her. Still, it seemed like the right thing to do.

Tracey shook her head. “No. It’s your week. School starts soon, and I don’t want to cut into your extended time with her before then. Besides, it’d be past her bedtime by the time I get back home. I don’t want to disrupt her routine.”

Steve smiled. “Thanks. I appreciate that.”

“Thanks for rescuing me from the ICU. I should probably get on my way, though.”

“At least let me drive you back to your car.” Steve pulled his wallet from his pocket.

“I can take the L,” Tracey said. “Just as fast. Ten minutes back to the hospital, grab the car, and I’m home in a little more than an hour. I’ll be fine.” She stood up to leave. “I’ll see you Friday, okay?”

Friday. When his week with Lindsay would be up and she returned to her mother’s home. They'd been following the arrangement for ten years and had the routine down, but it still hurt to say goodbye to his daughter at the end of a visit. “Sure.” Steve hesitated. “But if anything happens in the meantime and you need to talk...”

“Yeah, I’m sure Meredith would love that,” Tracey said. “Thanks, but I can handle this on my own. I’m not your problem anymore, Steve.”

He watched her walk out of the restaurant, then sighed. “That’s just it, Trace. You’ve never been a problem.”

I caught the writing bug in sixth grade, when I threatened to write a whole book after a class assignment to write the first chapter. I never finished that book, but the desire to create stories never left.

When I'm not giving life to the voices inside my head, I can probably be found watching a hockey or football game on TV, hoping one day the Dallas Stars will win another Stanley Cup and the Denver Broncos will win another Superbowl. (Hey, it might happen!)  Either that or I'm busy with my day job as a juvenile court attorney, a position that never ceases to provide new material for my books!

About The Author
My name is Kirsty. I was born in Hertfordshire, England. In 2000 I moved to Norfolk, it was there that I met my husband, Lee. Now, what can I say about Lee, apart from everyone should have one? He's my biggest supporter, and I wouldn't be where I am today without his encouragement and endless support. He is my inspiration behind most of my male leads, I always try to bring a little of him in somewhere, be it his kindness, selflessness, or just his ability to make me feel treasured.
In 2005, I was gifted with the birth of my son. He is, and always will be, the best thing I have ever done in my life. As you can probably tell, I'm a very proud mummy. I have always been interested in writing, but after the birth of my son I accidentally came across an amateur writing site. After a couple of months of just reading on there, I finally plucked up the courage and posted one of my stories. I was shocked and overwhelmed by the support of readers on there and they gave me the confidence to get where I am today. In April 2012, I self-published my first novel 'The Boy Who Sneaks in my Bedroom Window'. And in October 2012 I took the plunge again, publishing my second novel, 'Always You.' Lastly, if I had to sum myself up in one word, it would probably be 'daydreamer' – but unlike most of my school teachers, I don't necessarily view that as a bad thing. After all, I read somewhere once that books are like waking dreams….
Excerpt 1
There was no longer any love between us; hell, we barely even tolerated each other at times. Sometimes I even struggled to remember what it was that I saw in him the first place. Usually I convinced myself that it was his looks that I fell for, though even those had lost their appeal to me because I knew he'd rather be off sleeping with other girls than me. Ours was a marriage of convenience, even though it was inconvenient most of the time. Another reason I was with him was because I didn't have the energy to find anyone else. I'd been young when we'd gotten together, merely seventeen, and I knew that the dating scene had moved on pretty rapidly since I was last a part of it. In my opinion, I was too old to be single again, so I'd just have to suffer and grin and bear it. Many women went through their lives in an unhappy marriage. I was no different to any of them. Not everyone found their Mr Darcy and lived happily ever after, some people just had to take what they could get and be thankful. Clearly I was one of those people.
Excerpt 2
I blinked a couple of times, trying to come back to reality because looking at him made me feel a little weird inside. Harrison. I'd heard of this guy. He was the one who was in business with Brandon. The two of them had both been made redundant from their advertising jobs last year and had decided to go into business together instead of looking for another job. Skye and Brandon had become extremely good friends with this guy over the last year, so I'd heard. I'd never personally met him, but now that I knew who he was, I knew to stay away. Harrison Baxter was a ladies' man and fancied himself as Bath's answer to James Bond, apparently.
One of the gorgeous stranger's eyebrows rose. "Married, really? Damn, all of the hot ones are always taken or gay. Why is that, do you think?" he mused, cocking his head to the side playfully.
His voice did funny things to my insides. I was lost for words. Nothing was coming out of my mouth at all, so I just looked back down at Evie who was nestled comfortably in my arms.
"You happily married?" he probed, stepping closer to me. The heat emanating from his body to mine was making me feel a little jittery and I couldn't stand still.
No, not at all. I gulped and nodded in answer to his question, trying to ignore the feelings of lust and want that were battling inside me. It was wrong for me to feel like this. I knew it was. I was married, and although Finn cheated on me occasionally, I would never do the same. "Happy married with a child," I confirmed, nodding. Only part of that sentence was a lie. I did, in fact, have a child – I had just never been happily married.

About The Author
Heather Leigh Deciding to write books was something I had contemplated for a while. A co-worker of mine had gotten me started me on the 50 Shades Trilogy. I had quickly became absorbed! Reading contemporary romance had become a part of me. Little did I know that my daughter was a product of the "50 Shades Baby Boom"! I remember going to my doctor's appointment to find out that we were off to labor and delivery- and I didn't download any new books to my kindle! Talk about bummed out! However, I made up for that when I was home for my maternity leave. I believe we read 40+ books while I was home. I am a full time new mom, and wife. Yes, I do work full time, I am currently doing multiple things, bouncing back after baby, weight watchers, exercising, training for a 5k, reading and writing. So far, I have really enjoyed writing as a hobby. My work book club, "HE" had consumed us (and by us, I mean 2). We were critics of the stories and characters. I then thought to myself, "hmm, I bet I could write stories just like this, and have them turn out like I'd want them to." Well, joking turned into thinking. Thinking turned into brainstorming. Brainstorming lead to opening a word document and letting my mind explore. Growing up I had written short stories with friends, and as extra credit for school. This is probably where it all started... I had turned in one of my short stories without re-reading, or editing it completely. I had my paper returned to me saying the "content was inappropriate." Apparently contemporary romance was frowned upon in English class! Oops! So maybe I was destined to become a writer. I thought to myself that I want to live in this world and make a difference and have a part of me in history after I leave. This is me staying forever young. Here I will post my journey, it's a learning experience for me, so please bear with me. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, recommendations- I welcome them all. Enjoy :)

I liked this book the story was interesting it was light and sassy and some parts of it sexy, for me I felt perhaps it went a bit too fast like there was no connection at times I felt the story drop for me and just become words on a page so I would have liked a deeper pull there but it was still a good read and yes I will be interested in reading part 2 to see where it goes .

It’s a mad grab of clothes and body parts as our kiss heats up. We quickly rid each other of our clothes, then I position her in the center of the bed and rub my throbbing dick on her entrance. She moans and says, “Put it in, now, I need you, please, oh God, please, just put it in.”

The way we’re going at it, it’s not going to take me long at all. I slowly rub her entrance a little more not giving her what she wants. She was a bad girl and deserves to be punished. I push up on my hand and lock my arm, hovering over her face. I look her in the eyes and give that devilish half grin that I know she can’t resist. She bites her lip and gives me her own devilish sexy little grin. She plants her foot on the mattress and bucks her hips. I let her take me on my back, to see where she wants to take this. Her long blond hair cascades down her face as she grabs my cock in her fist. I inhale sharp between my teeth. She positions herself over me and thrusts herself down on me. She’s so ready for me, and the feeling is fucking fantastic. Her hair sways in my face at every inward thrust. She grabs my jaw and digs those perfect little fingernails into my skin, and I about blow my load right then. She looks into my eyes while grinding her hips in a circular motion, in and out. She plants a hot kiss on my lips and thrusts her tongue in my mouth. God, I love this woman.

I pull away and look her in the eyes. “I love you,” I tell her as she continues relentlessly with her hips.

“I love you more,” she replies.

She moves her left leg to the other side of my hip and reverses her position so she’s facing away from me. Reverse cowgirl, fucking hell yes, I love it. I grab her hips and help her move up and down. I can feel her insides clench around my cock as she comes with a muffled scream.

I can’t hold out any longer, I tell her, “I’m coming, Doll.” She quickly gets up, turns around and sinks her pretty pink lips around my dick as I come in her mouth. Oh my God, that was fucking hot. I continue to pump inside her mouth and she takes it all while looking into my eyes. Seeing the whites of her eyes as she swallows it all sends me over the edge again, and I come a second time. Or, it could still be the first time, I don’t fucking care. I grind my teeth and take it as she swirls her tongue around my sensitive tip.

I am an “Indie” contemporary romance author. I live in California with my husband and two teenage boys. I love being a stay at home mom. My husband and I enjoy wine tasting and camping with our kids with our four wheelers in the middle of nowhere, where you can find me with my pink Ryder BB gun!

We have a handful of pets, a dog named Lucy (who is in my books) and a guinea pig named Flufy (my son spelled her name that way) and a cat who adopted us many years ago and has never left. She is a spoiled outdoor cat with her own two story house and a heated bed.

I never liked reading as a kid. I only started reading romance novels in the past few years. My Kindle and I are inseparable now. A thought occurred to me in December of 2012 that maybe I could write a romance novel. So I went to work with the encouragement of my husband and my sister-in-law. It didn’t take long to figure out that I really enjoyed writing.

Today I am a self published author and it has been an amazing journey. Email me at authorannalisanicole@yahoo.com

Chapter 1: Camille

August, 1996
“Camille, you better get a move on! Tia will be here any minute!”
I rolled my eyes towards the ceiling at my mom yelling in the hallway. I knew Tia was on her way over. She called five minutes ago letting me know she was.
“I know, Mom! I’m trying to find my sandals!” I yelled back.
The two of us, along with her mom, were heading to the mall to buy new clothes for school.  Since a new school year was starting soon, my parents gave me some spending money to shop. Normally, my mom would take me, but since she had a huge project for her job, she asked Mrs. Simmons if I could tag along with her and Tia. I think she really wanted her as reinforcement to see what types of outfits I would pick out so Mrs. Simmons could report back to her.
After searching through my room for a good 10 minutes, I was finally able to find my tan sandals. I slipped them on, looking at myself in the full-length mirror. I couldn’t believe in a matter of days, I would be heading to eighth grade.  This time next year, I would be in ninth grade. I couldn’t believe it! I wish this year would just hurry up so I could start my journey in high school.
I looked at the green dress I was wearing, wondering why I chose such a hideous color. I hated anything green, so I didn't know why I bought it. I guess because I loved the dress so much. I spun around, letting the full skirt twirl and did another inspection of my appearance. I sighed, grabbed my purse and went downstairs.  Once I got down there, I went into the kitchen and took an apple from the fruit bowl. My mom looked at me as she stuffed a couple of papers into her briefcase.
“Took you long enough. What were you doing up there?”
“I had to make myself even more beautiful. You didn’t want me going out of the house dressed any kind of way, did you?”
My mom smiled and put her glasses on. “Of course not. If you did, I wouldn’t let you leave. Now, I trust you to pick out appropriate clothing for school, okay?”
“Of course, Mom. See you later. I love you,” I said, giving her a kiss on the cheek before heading out the door.
I went towards the driveway, taking in how beautiful the day looked. The only thing that would make this day better was a breeze or two coming in. Hopefully, Tia and her mom would arrive soon because heat and I definitely did not mix.
I continued standing outside when I noticed a tan Suburban pulling into the driveway next door. I stared intensely at the vehicle, curious to see who my new neighbors were. The SUV had been coming back and forth to the house since this morning, along with moving vans and loud noises that woke me up from my peaceful sleep. Whoever it was probably wouldn’t peak my interest anyway. It was probably some older couple who I would never see because they never left the house.
I started to become impatient waiting on Tia. I stood on the heel of my sandals, rocking myself back and forth. I looked over at the house again, and my entire body stiffened. My breath was caught in my throat as I stared at the guy stepping out of the Suburban. He was absolutely gorgeous! I checked out his appearance from head to toe: ivory-colored skin that looked so smooth, jet-black hair that was wavy and looked shiny in the sunlight. And the best part – he was wearing the jersey of my favorite player from the ouHouston Rockets, Hakeem Olajuwon.
He looked over in my direction with a bright smile that showed his pearly white teeth.  His smile alone made me melt.
He turned around and looked at an older man, which, from the similar features, I assumed was his father. He smiled at him, then walked my way. I suddenly became nervous and wiped my sweaty palms onto my dress. Hopefully, I didn’t leave any stains.
“Hi,” he said once he approached me.
“Hi,” I said shyly, wiping my hands on my dress again.
“I noticed you've been staring at us from the time we pulled up to now, so I wanted to introduce myself. I’m Trevor Williams,” he said, offering his hand.
I smiled and put my hand in his, giving a firm shake as I stared into his brown eyes. Even his eyes were dreamy.
“Camille Anderson. I guess we’re neighbors,” I replied. Then I thought that was the dumbest thing ever to say. Of course we’re neighbors; I didn’t have to remind him of that.
“Yeah, I guess we are. So, do you usually stand outside and keep a watch on the neighbors?”
I blushed and realized I probably had been staring at him for a long period of time. I guess I couldn’t help it.
“I’m waiting on my friend and her mom. We’re heading to the mall for school shopping.”
“Cool, there’s a mall nearby. Well, I will definitely have to ask to tag along one day, if you’re interested.”
Definitely, I thought. “So where are you moving from?”
“Across town. My dad just got a manager’s position with Cadwell Bank, and since it’s in this area, he wanted to be closer, so here we are.”
“Cool. Well, welcome to the neighborhood.”
“Thanks. So, what school do you go to?” Trevor asked.
“McKinney.”
“That’s where I’m going. I guess it makes sense since it’s in the neighborhood. What grade are you in?”
“Eighth.”
“Same here. Maybe we’ll have some classes together,” he replied.
“That would be great,” I said with a bright smile while looking at his jersey.
“So, I see you’re a Rockets fan.”
“Of course! I am from Houston, so why wouldn’t I be?”
“There are a lot of people who live in Houston and like sports teams from other cities.”
“I guess that’s true. I know this may be a dumb question to ask, but do you like video games?”
I rolled my eyes at him and smiled. “Why because I’m a girl?”
“Well, yeah.”
“Don’t let the girly exterior fool you. I play them every once in awhile. In fact, I just finished playing Tekken 2 yesterday.”
“Really? I’m playing that game now.”
Before I could say anything else, Tia’s mom pulled up. Tia stuck her head out of the passenger side window with a surprised look.
“Hey, Camille. Who’s the cutie?”
I blushed again, and Trevor gave a huge smile.
“Tia Marie Simmons! Get your head back into the car!” Mrs. Simmons yelled.
“Well, I guess that’s my cue to leave. It was nice to meet you, Camille. I’m pretty sure we’ll be seeing a lot of each other.”
“Yeah. I’m counting on it.”
Trevor smiled as he looked at me one last time before heading back to his house.

Some people need love…

I need sex, money, control, and power.

Anyone could have those four things, but only one could have VIP. Becoming Madam was never a choice for me, it was a mandated order from the most powerful woman I knew- my mother. I was born to fill her shoes, never to make mistakes, or to show weakness.

You are the product of your environment. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree; you learn from what you see, not from what you're told. Nature vs. Nurture. I learned from it all; what I saw, what I didn't see, what I was told, and from reading between the lines.

I was raised with the belief that the world spun ONLY because of me. I held power as far back as I can remember, saw things no one ever talks about, and witnessed illegal acts of sex, drugs, and money by the time I was eighteen.

You saw a glimpse of me in VIP, now see it from the beginning. Enter my world where anything goes; no judgments, no remorse, no guilt. You play by my rules, or you don’t play at all. There are no limits to what I can do, or to what I can show you…I will ensure my legacy my any means necessary.

My name is Lilith Veronica Stone, and I am The Madam.

Warning: Book contains adult situations.
Dark content/sex/drugs/language. Mature readers only.

**Before you read The Madam, be sure and read book 1: VIP**

32 year old Sebastian Vanwell, was a very successful yacht broker, who always loved the design and architecture of a luxurious boat. His only addiction was being on the water. He loved it, he thrived on it, and he needed it in his life. After a very stable, loving childhood with only a few bumps, Sebastian married the love of his life. The one person that he knew would always be there. Julia was his rock, and he loved her more than life itself. Sebastian kept his addiction to the water under control, wanting to keep his time with his wife and son his number one obsession, that was until he saw her. This new addiction haunted him, the one compulsion that he couldn't control no matter how hard he tried.

Ysabelle Telle hit him hard, knocking the wind from his lungs. Coming from worlds apart, beautiful, dark complexion Ysabelle Telle didn't have the rich, protected background that Sebastian Vanwell had. Ysabelle lived a life of hell, in poverty, growing up with a drug addict mother that never cared, and horrific living conditions. Ysabelle lived for one person and one person only; herself. She was pure perfection, her beauty along with a flawless body had men lined up, driveling over her ensuring her success as a VIP.

There are too many words that describe the effects when two diverse worlds like theirs collide. They both have too much to lose to get caught in the forceful pull, which could destroy them both.
